- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪Four months ago, I fell, hurt my knee and re-injured my back. After I fell, I was barely able to walk and stand. For fun, I ballroom dance regularly. I wanted to dance again but I was in so much pain, I remember thinking I would be happy if I could just walk pain free again and forget about dancing. I went to Natural Medicine and Rehabilitation and met Dr. Rupa Patel as well as the rest of the staff ( I could not begin to list all of their names as there are many therapists and they are all great). Dr. Patel is very compassionate and knowledgeable about what it would take for me to heal. She is amazing, worked with me every step of the way. She planned out exercises for me, and along with the staff, helped to assure I was doing them properly. I have been to other PT groups before and for the most part once you are given the exercises, they leave you alone. At NMR, I was not left alone, there was always someone watching and helping me to not only do the exercises correctly but to offer motivation and encouragement when it seemed too difficult. They are very friendly and have helped me learn what the exercises are doing and the long-term benefits of maintaining a level of fitness to heal and to strengthen my body. I will be released this week and not only can I walk again but I am dancing too. Dr. Rupa is exceptional and I thank her for her individual assistance.
